Sanctity of marriage as a bond is decreasing by Gurleen Kaur
Marriage has always been considered as the most sacred bond, which a person shares with his better half. This is the only relation, which binds a couple for the rest of their lives. In fact, in a Hindu religion, it is the bond which the bride and groom shares for seven lives. An Indian marriage, in whichever religion is celebrated is the biggest occasion for both the families of the couple. They are seen cherishing some of the most precious moments in the marriage ceremony of a family member.
Marriage is a bond, which makes a person understand the importance of the togetherness and the dependency required in a relationship to make it keep growing. The need and the presence of the life partner becomes a habit in the life of the other person. They become so dependent on each other, that leading life without the presence of other is like the worst of the dreams for the person. A person has to be very devoted and committed towards his marriage, because this makes him faithful towards his life partner. There are many cases, where misunderstanding rise in-between the married couple, but the best solution to way off those situations is to have proper communication with the life partner and understating his needs and giving him space at the same time. Even if some problem arises, discussing about the problem and taking out a mutual solution for it, is the best policy that should be adopted by marriage couples.
Problems do arise between the married couples; in fact almost every married couple goes with such stages in their lives, where misunderstanding often comes in between their relation, but cribbing over the problem is no solution. One needs to peep deep into the problem and look for a possible solution which balances all the problems and difficulties in the relationship and makes the couple patch up and resolve their distances. We have captured, learnt and implemented a lot of things from the west, some have become source for the development of our students and economy and some has strongly affected the traditional values of the Indian society. The culture of marriages in India has always been famous for its simplicity and the family values and longetivity of the marriage as a relationship practised in the country. The culture of joint family and the respect for elders and love for children, affection in between the family members are few of the elements, which differentiates an Indian from the citizens of foreign countries.
Marriage has always been considered as the strongest and the purest bond shared between the bride and groom, especially in the Indian culture. But, with the changing times and the impact of the western culture on our country, people are getting more fascinated by the western cultures and practices. The importance of marriage as a lifetime bond is decreasing and they are getting prone to a bug called divorce. Divorce, just one statement, which makes the couple apart from each other, for the rest of the lives is the biggest negativity adopted by the Indian masses from the western culture.
The emotional bond of the marriage gets broken by just two signatures of the bride and the groom, on a legal paper. Moreover, practise of divorce is getting popular in the Indian marriages, and is breaking many relations, because of the people not taking their relations seriously. They need to understand that marriage is a bond for lifetime, and problems are a part of life, one should try and solve the problem rather than running from it. Though, getting apart from the person who is impossible to deal with is fine, but one should always make his best possible efforts to retain the bond of their marriage.

WWII in HD (DVD) $12.49 At first glance, the very concept of WWII in HD seems like an oxymoron. After all, isn’t the footage from back then nothing more than grainy black-and-white newsreel? And really, how much definition can be added to film that was shot more than 60 years ago? The answers: no, and quite a lot, actually. The quality of much of what is seen in the course of these 10 episodes (each around 45 minutes lon… |
